Sea Ray expands its NSW footprint

Chapman Marine Group is now offering Sea Ray across the State with a strong line-up of the latest innovative models

Sea Ray's high performing Sydney-based dealer Chapman Marine Group (CMG) has expanded its footprint into Northern NSW, which now gives the dealer the entire state of NSW.

The expansion follows steady sales growth of the luxury American boat brand around Sydney’s waterways, where the sporty SPX and upmarket SLX bowriders and the spacious SDX Sundeck boats are selling well.

After recently displaying his Sea Rays at a boat show at Empire Bay Marina on the Hawkesbury, Mark Chapman said he was excited that the Northern NSW territory has been assigned to his group.

"Our team has been doing a great job growing the brand in Sydney and we are ready to expand our footprint with Sea Ray. Chapman Marine territory is now the entire state of New South Wales," he said.

With Sea Ray investing heavily in new models — as per this extensive Sea Ray new-model article — and more of them having wider powered options, these are exciting times for buyers of the banner boat brand.

Sea Ray has been working hard to distinguish itself from the crowd via more outboard rigs, new gelcoat colours and a lifted fit and finish so you can create your own personalised Sea Ray. The boats also have more trick high-end design features. Chapman’s forte is bringing these well-optioned Sea Ray boats to market in NSW. He is also building the Sea Ray owners club.

For the 50th Sydney International Boat Show, Chapman Marine Group had a healthy nine-strong Sea Ray line-up — the SPX 19 and SPX 21, a SLX 230 and SLX 250, and a SDX 240 and SDX 270.

But the big news was the all-new Sundancer 320, a lifestyle cruiser with twin 300hp MerCruiser 6.2L sterndrives. As the clever boat is still small enough to rack and stack, it's a great Sydney Harbour pleasure boating proposition.

The new ‘Dancer has a creative foredeck design with sunken seating and sunpad. There’s a big teak-topped cockpit with trick swivel lounge, full moulded hardtop, plus a hydraulic swim platform, while the big open-plan interior sleeps four and has a separate head.
