Sea Jay Avengers score NexGen Adrenalin hull upgrade
The Sea Jay Avenger Sports line gains a vastly improved hull designBundaberg's Sea Jay Boats has upgraded its Avenger Sports side and centre console boats with the company's latest, NexGen Adrenalin hull bottom shape.
These revisions bring increased safety, seaworthiness and performance to these popular alloy boats.
The hull upgrade to Sea Jay's Avenger Sports boats brings these versatile fishing tinnies into line with other popular Sea Jay models - including the Bay Seeker Runabouts and Territory side and centre consoles.
A key feature of the NexGen Adrenalin hull on the Avenger Sports models is the enclosure of the transom with the fitting of a formed outboard splash well.
With a proper outboard well there is less chance of water splashing into the cockpit when decelerating from speed. Similarly, the full-height of the transom increases external freeboard to keep water out of the boat in choppy sea conditions.
More improvements
The NexGen Adrenalin hull also boasts other improvements. The hull is deeper throughout to provide more volume and space inside, along with slightly higher topsides for added safety and more internal freeboard.
Below the water-line Sea Jay has extended the chines further forward to create more lift for improve performance in a following sea, and to add buoyancy and stability at the bow to counter the weight of a couple of anglers fishing from the casting deck.
All Sea Jays with the NexGen Adrenalin hull (above 4.28m in length) also have distinctive reverse chines for improved stability, quicker hole-shots, and improved load carrying capabilities.
The Sea Jay Avenger Sports boats are available in 4.28m, 4.48m, and 4.68m hull sizes, each now equipped with the NexGen Adrenalin hull bottom.
Latest hulls
The RS or "Raised Sheerline" Avenger Sports models, available in 4.48 and 4.68m sizes. are also equipped with the latest Adrenalin vee hull bottom.
All five Avenger Sports models are available with side and centre console open boat configurations.
The RS Avenger line-up also includes tiller-steer models equipped with the NexGen Adrenalin hull, albeit without the enclosed transom.
Other features of the Sea Jay Avenger Sports boats include 3.0mm hull bottoms, transom and topsides on hulls measuring 4.48 metres and above, carpeted plywood floors and bow casting deck; welded foredecks and side deck coamings; bow electric trolling motor plate; plumbed transom live well; cockpit side pockets; removal pedestal seating; built-in rod holders; underfloor fuel tank; transducer mounting brackets; underfloor flotation; and more.
