Sea Fox Pro Series arrives
- 180XT and 200XT for inshore fishingJSW Powersports on the Gold Coast has imported some trick new Sea Fox fish boats from America. For inshore fishing the new Pro Series Bay Fox 2012 models take some beating. As with most American boats, the Sea Fox are sold as complete turnkey sportsfishing packages.
The brand new 180XT is selling for $39,950 with 115hp Mercury four-stroke outboard, while the 200XT (pictured) is bundled for $53,900 with 150hp Mercury four-stroke outboard.
Backed by limited lifetime warranties, the foam-filled composite Sea Fox hulls sport terrific deck layouts that will surely win over keen sports fishers.

Designed from the keel up, the centre consoles, walkarounds, flat-style skiffs and dual-console boats are built for serious saltwater rather than Great Lake use. The reinforced transoms have glassed-in aluminium backing plates, there are sub-floor rigging conduits, with liners fixed to foam stringers.
In other words, you get a stiff hull structure without sub-floor timber designed to last the distance.
Above deck, you’ll find a big spread of stainless-steel fittings, large-capacity live wells and trick centre-console helm stations designed by sports fishermen (and woman) expressly for sports fishing.
The Pro Series Bay Fox have snag-free forward casting platforms, dedicated rod storage, rear transom casting platforms, and abundant built-in storage spaces that beckon to be filled. Just add tackle and go fish.
A moderate 15 degrees of deadrise and a sharp entry give the best of both worlds -- at-rest casting stability and excellent inshore performance and ride. Big fuel capacities let you fish all day.
It seems timely given the growing popularity of flat-water fishing, the overflowing dams and impoundments brimming with water and fish again, if not the strong Australian dollar, that savvy boat dealers would be looking at importing some new purpose-built American fishing boats like the Sea Fox.
