Tow-in surfing is now accepted as both the safest and easiest way to have a crack at previously unridable big wave breaks, and now surf manufacturer Rip Curl has joined personal water craft manufacturer Sea Doo to offer the best of both worlds.
They are offering the chance to win a Sea-Doo Wake PWC and a trip for two to the Rip Curl Pro 2010 at Bells Beach, valued at more than $20,000, details of which can be found at the competition website and in various surfing and outdoor stores.
The Sea-Doo Wake is the first PWC designed specifically for surfing and features a 215hp engine, a retractable ski pylon, a removable board rack and a reboarding step.
Sea-Doo PWC were used by both water patrol and tow-in surfers at this year's Bells Beach event in April.
The promotion will run at more than 800 surfing/outdoors stores across Australia and New Zealand until January next year.
