US offshore boat specialist Scout has released a single image of its largest-ever boat, the 67 LX, ahead of its official debut at this month’s Miami International Boat Show. The kicker? It will have 3000hp of Mercury V12 Verado power to push it.
The new quint-engined 19.0-metre model easily becomes Sout’s largest boat, eclipsing the current 16.0-metre range-topping Scout 530 LFX centre console that uses 2450hp of quad Mercury V12 Verado power.
According to Scout, the new 61 LXF flagship will instantly join the ranks of the largest outboard-powered sportfishing yachts to be built worldwide.
Owners will also be able to tune the boat’s interior to their needs, with three distinct versions offered – the 670 LXF (Luxury Fish Model); the 670 LXS (Luxury Sport Model); and the 670 LXC (Luxury Cruiser Model).
The image shows a long, narrow hull with a walkaround centre console. The stepped hull’s design features a sharp bow angle and a long forepeak, and a classic Scout sheerline running aft.
The cabin, with its forward helm, is enclosed on three sides, with the hardtop extending over the cockpit to provide a semi-protected space aft. The cockpit also appears to feature drop-down sides that greatly increase the amount of useable space while at anchor.
It’ll also be no slouch, capable of hunting along at a top speed of a smidge over 50.0 knots with a cruise speed of around 35.0 knots.
Range? Expect around 500 nautical miles out of a belly load of fuel. How much it’s likely to cost you to fill up between expeditions is yet to be revealed.
The 2023 Miami International Boat Show runs from February 15–19.
