Scoop: Incredible new Quintrex!

A Quintrex like you've never seen before. New Freestyle 610 in sterndrive, outboard and fishing versions to follow

Quintrex isn't one to rest on its laurels and they did say this 70th Anniversary Year was going to be a big one. But who would have guessed this big?

We have just set eyes on what must be the prettiest, sportiest Quintrex of all time. The spy photo we reveal here shows the yet-to-be-released Freestyle 610, a purpose-built tow-sports bowrider with stunning good looks and real alloy elan.

Yes, pinch yourself, this boat is aluminium!

The new pickle-fork-bow style sportsboat was fitted with the latest V6 MerCruiser sterndrive for V8-like performance and pulling power, we're told. With the aluminium wake tower, the boat sure is a  knockout, even just sitting idle.

But we're also told this new hull is without a shadow of a doubt the very best-riding Quintrex of all time! That is set to open up other possibilities.

We're told the outboard version of the Freestyle hull, without the drop nose, fitted with a 200hp Evinrude ETEC G2, is a real weapon, clocking 58mph or almost 100km/h on early trials.

So we can well imagine this cool new Quinnie with a serious tournament-level bream, bass and barra layout. It could well be the new go-to boat in Darwin. Our spies say Quintrex will probably produce a high-nose hull as a fishing version.

We also hear that Quintrex can probably go up to seven metres with this hull wearing a hardtop. We look forward to following up on this exciting news and getting more information for you.

Additionally, Quintrex released some sneak-pic pics of smaller 610 Trident Hardtop boat with a matching Evinrude ETEC G2 outboard and special wrap commemorating the boatbuilder's 70th Anniversary Year.

We'll publish the official release information, more details and better photos as soon as they become available. Watch this space for more breaking news from Australia’s favourite boat brand.
