Brazilian motor yacht brand Schaefer Yachts has spread its wings in Australia, adding Sydney-based dealership Flagship international to its expanding presence here.
Australia is a key market in the brand’s plans to increase its sales outside North America, with Flagship International’s “presence and marketing prowess coupled with Schaefer’s reputation for quality and innovation” helping to expand the brand’s reach.
Flagship International Managing Director Marley Cutbush said the appointment was an opportunity to work with a manufacturer “who understands the importance of utilising innovation and technology to deliver a top-quality yacht in the modern boating age”.
“Flagship is very conscious of partnering with brands whose product range are perfectly suited to our customer’s way of boating and the Schaefer range does this perfectly,” Cutbush said.
“This partnership with Schaefer Yachts Australia is a strategic decision for us to be able to offer our clients the best quality yachts on the market, in every segment.”
Shaefer’s advantage over other brands was that customers could order a motor yacht and take delivery of it in a much shorter timeline than if the boat was built by another manufacturer where delivery queues can be as long as three years, Cutbush said.
“Schaefer’s success combined with their production process has allowed them to build their yachts on speculation and increase production capabilities, which are leading to industry-leading delivery times for our clients,” he said.
“You can have a brand new, heavily optioned Schaefer 400 delivered in six months – that’s unheard of these days.”
Schaefer Yachts will hold a pre-registered open day at Darling Harbour in March, and a display of its products at the 2023 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and 2023 Sydney International Boat Show.
