If you have a boat - or if you're just thinking of getting a boat - you need to look at these savings, says Mercury. There's an engine for virtually everyone as the run-out is right across its range of two-stroke, four-stroke, Verado and OptiMax outboards.
Mercury says the savings are based on the difference between the '08 and '09 manufacturer's recommended retail price.
Following is a list of run-out models available and the savings to the buyer:
For two-strokes, save: $85 on an 8hp MLW; $122 for the 15hp MLSuper; $214 on the 50hp ELPTO; $676 on the 150hp XLEFI; and, $1374 for the 200hp XLEFI.
Savings on four-strokes outboards are: $315 for the 20hp ML; $756 on the 40hp ELHPTEFI; $884 on the 60hp ELPTEFI; and, $1041 for the 90hp ELPTEFI.
The OptiMax range has savings of: $1042 for the 90hp ELPT; $1072 on the 135hp XL; $1109 for the 150hp XL; and, $1554 on the 175hp XL.
For Verado you can expect to save: $1996 on the 175hp XL; $2264 for the 200hp XL; $3119 on the 250hp XL; and, $3511 for the 300hp XL.
