Savage’s latest release for 2013, the 445 Big Kahuna is the quintessential tinnie, built tough with smooth 3mm plate-look sides and lots of flat-floor space.
The newest offering from Australia’s oldest aluminium-boat brand, Savage's Big Kahuna is perfect for cruising around estuaries, lakes and creeks, says Savage. Yet the big open boat comes with a budget-friendly price tag and is bundled plenty of kit.
Standard features include a front casting deck, transom step and rail, aluminium side pockets, rear bench seat and a carpeted floor, even a carpeted fuel-tank rack.
With room for five passengers, and a maximum horsepower rating of 50, the 445 Big Kahuna can be used as the ultimate fishing rig and a veritable on-water ute.
With a wide range of options available, the 445 Big Kahuna can also be personalised to suit individual fishing styles and budgets. Options include rod holders, glove box and drink holders, a painted hull and full-length side rails. The boat would also be ideal for backyard fit-up by any halfway handyman (or woman).
With an anchor well and storage room in the front casting deck and large side pockets, keeping the deck of the 445 Big Kahuna clutter-free for fishing is no problem.
Savage National Account Manager Ryan Dewson said the 445 Big Kahuna had been a highly anticipated release and will be a competitive offering in the tinnie market.
"The 445 Big Kahuna has a wide beam of 1.96m and the feel of a lot larger boat. With the inclusion of the casting deck and carpeted floor it is a great fishing platform," Dewson said.
The 445 Big Kahuna is available as a Savage boating package including hull, Savage trailer and engine complete with a three-year factory warranty.
