Savage is promoting its well-proportioned Bay Cruisers as the ultimate weekend companions, perfect for cruising the waterways and finding those hidden fishing spots.
There are three models in the range: the popular 485, 515 and flagship 545 Bay Cruiser. The three boats have been upgraded for the 2016 boating season with more comforts and options but keen pricing.
The ever-green 485 Bay Cruiser (our review) offers the versatility needed for action packed weekends, whether it’s a fishing trip or taking the family out for a spin, in a practical feature-packed boat that, at $32k drive away, won't bust too many budgets.
The new extended dash improves the driving position, as well as creating room for more electronics, and the 485 Bay Cruiser now features a lean-through dash for easy access to the anchor well.
The 485's anchor well can now be optioned up to include an electric drum winch to make swinging on the 'hook' at your favourite fishing spot a breeze.
Meantime, larger side decks create a more functional design, as they are comfortable to sit on and lean against while reeling in fish, and the overall result is a nicer runabout to spend your Sundays aboard. The plate-look adds to the sportiness and the boat is safe and, as our review found, predictable on the throttle.
Savage National Account Manager Jason Draeger said the new features improve the practicality of the models while still offering all the features customers love.
"Our Bay Cruisers have proven to be a popular model as they offer the versatility and practicality boaties are after.
"With two pedestal seats and a rear folding lounge there is plenty of room to take the family out in the 485 Bay Cruiser.
"The Bay Cruisers can be customised to suit your exact needs from a wide-ranging list of optional extras including live bait tank, extra rod holders, radio and ski hooks," Mr Draeger said.
