With a 55lt livebait well, a raised casting platform with built-in compartments and deluxe pedestal seats, the 440 Angler is a dedicated fishing platform for estuaries and bays, said the boatbuilder.
"We've also included rod and paddle holders, a lure and tool holder, and a dry storage space. We can't guarantee you'll catch fish, but you'll certainly have a more comfortable time trying," said Ian Stanley, Savage's product manager.
At 4.4m long and with a beam of 1.85m, this boat provides plenty of room, said Savage, while a flat floor with marine grade carpet ensures safe footing.
Designed to perform with a 30hp outboard, the 440 Angler has a Tru-V Uni-Weld hull design with a welded extruded centre keel, an extruded deck gunnel, and a trolling motor panel with 12/24V outlet, said Savage.
All paintwork has undergone a baked armour-guard process for long-life and owners get the choice of five colours - sport red, bay blue, copper, onyx black or silver bay, said the boatbuilder.
The 440 Angler has 2mm thick top and bottom sides, seats four, a hull weight of 297kg and accommodates a maximum 40hp outboard. Optional extras include a side console, MotorGuide Wireless trolling motor and Northstar fishfinder.
Positive buoyancy, electric bilge pump, deck cleats, navigation lights and a trailer round out a package for people interested in really enjoying their fishing experience, said Savage.
With a Just-Add-Water package, Savage said the 440 Angler fitted with a Mercury or Mariner 30hp two-stroke ML Lightweight outboard and trailer is available for a recommended retail price of $14,500 plus freight.
Savage said its aluminium boats now come with a five-year hull warranty to the original owner plus a three-year bow-to-stern transferable warranty on virtually everything else (conditions apply).
