Sandringham reunion

Melbourne's Sandringham Yacht Club is holding a 50-year reunion for all who have sailed at the club as juniors and/or served at the club as volunteers

This year marks 50 years since the introduction of the international cadet as the club-sponsored junior training boat.

This boat has been the backbone of the off-the-beach sailing at Sandy, producing many national and world champions in a variety of off-the-beach and keelboat classes.

The SYC off-the-beach sponsored class has grown enormously over the years, along with the fleet size, and is now one of the most active in and around Melbourne.

On November 11, all who have sailed at Sandy are welcome to come and share a few stories, catch up with other sailors and rekindle friendships at the club.

For more information, phone the club on (03) 9598 7444 or go to www.syc.com.au
