The Show, from Thursday, May 22 to Sunday, May 25, has 439 exhibitors booked for on-water, pavilion and open-air displays.
There are more than 390 boats on water; plus hundreds more boats and products displayed in four pavilions and throughout the Marine Village hardstand areas, said SCIBS organisers.
"We are delighted that so many companies have chosen Sanctuary Cove as the site for their world or regional marine product launches," said SCIBS general manager, Barry Jenkins. He expects exhibitor numbers will approach or even surpass the 2007 record of 456.
"Not only do we have exhibitors from China, Taiwan and New Zealand, we also have many senior executives from Asia, the USA and Europe attending the event to support their Australian or Australasian distributors," he said.
Known as the place 'Where the Marine Business Does Business', this year's Boat Show is no exception, with international buyer groups scheduled to visit, said organisers, pointing out that Austrade Marine representatives will accompany overseas buyers from Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, China, United Arab Emirates and Thailand.
