SANCTUARY COVE BOAT SHOW: Clipper, Cobalt, Marlow, Jeanneau and more

Variety is the spice of life in this diverse $10m Sanctuary Cove boat show display

Long-serving Queensland boat importer Brett Thurley is gearing up for a $10-million-plus display in what he says will be his largest showcase of new boats ever at a Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

The Managing Director of Clipper Motor Yachts says his 14-berth display on A-arm will include a broad range of boats from a Cobalt wakesport bowrider starting at $139,000 right up to a new Marlow 53 long-range cruising motor yacht valued in excess of $3 million.

"Our display at Sanctuary Cove this year provides something for everyone no matter what their boating preference or budget," Thurley says, adding "we will be showcasing world-class vessels across a variety of marques."

"Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is recognised on the international marine industry calendar as one of the world's premier boat showcases and we are delighted to be bringing together such a variety of brands at this year's event."

From the Cobalt sportsboats including a new debut outboard model to the
long-range luxury motor yachts, the diverse boating display is all about
offering a high-quality boating experience.

NEW COBALT 25SC OUTBOARD

In the Cobalt range, there’s the
Australian release of the Cobalt 25SC outboard and also includes an A25,
R5 WSS Surf and an R3 all priced between $139,000 and $199,000.

Thurley
was recently appointed distributor of Cobalt of Australia andhe  opened
a large on-water sales and showroom display centre to
showcase the brand at the Gold Coast City Marina.

He has had a
relationship with the Kansas-based family-owned Cobalt business for more
than 20 years and will be "turbo charging" the marketing of the brand in
the Australian market.

"Cobalt is a brand that has an enormous
following internationally and they are renowned for their quality, style
and performance," he said.

CLIPPER AND MARLOW MOTOR YACHTS

The $10m display at Sanctuary Cove will be headed by the Marlow 53 long-range motor yacht that features three luxury cabins, including a full-beam king-size master suite, crew quarters, gyro, utility room, hydraulic swim platform and a top-shelf fit out and finish.

Renown for their volume, interior fit out, accommodation and seakeeping capabilities, Marlow has a reputation internationally and Thurley believes the premiere of the first Marlow 53 at Sanctuary Cove will be the start of a significant number of the vessels headed Downunder.

Thurley has created the Pacific Motor Yachts business asthe Australian
distributor of the Marlow Motor Yachts. The 53 on display at
Sanctuary Cove is a big boat, measuring 59 feet or 18.2 metres in length
overall.

A long-serving brand and business, Clipper Motor Yachts offers
traditional, semi-displacement style flybridge cruisers and a range of
'lobster-boat style' Hudson Bay sedan models including the 350, 390,
470, 500, 540 and 640.

The newer Clippers will have styling and interiors by internationally renowned Italian designer Patrizio Facheris.

Clippers on show will include a preloved Cordova 60
priced at $1.650 million; an Explorer 50 priced at $1.1490, which
was also traded on a Hudson Bay 540; and a Hudson Bay 36 priced at
$299,000.

JEANNEAU DEBUTS
There's a great range of popular and well-priced Merry Fisher models from the big French stable Jeanneau. These include the three best-sellers that we've tested and rated highly on boat-for-your-buck — the 695, 795, 895.

For the first time in Australia, a Cap Cammarat 10.5 WA — which we tested previously at its release in France as per that link — will make a splash.

Powered by twin 300hp Mercury Verados, the sweet boat will hit 40kts at wide-open throttle on the Broadwater.

"This is an incredibly versatile boat encapsulating a dayboat, centre console, family entertainer and overnighter," Thurley adds.

"This boat has twin outboards and will be equally at home offshore fishing or leisurely cruising the Broadwater or Sydney Harbour."

MIX OF BRANDS AND MODELS
As you can see, Thurley has launched into 2017 with a broad range of boat brands, new model launches, plus a new on-water sales centre, including a Cobalt showroom, adjoining his established headquarters at Gold Coast City Marina.

"This year will be our biggest ever and we are very excited by the response we have already received to our diverse range of boat models and styles," he said.

In order to provide tailored after-sales support, Thurley created a number of parent companies, each of which is responsible for their respective boat brand.

"Between Clipper, Jeanneau, Hudson Bay, Marlow and Cobalt we will have more stock boats available for people to inspect this year than ever before," he says.
