Salem SSB 620e
The 620e is considered the flagship of the Salem range of fibreglass ski boats - and it's got the dimensions to be just that. Launched eight years ago, SSB 620e measures just over 6.3m and has a beam of 2.1mSalem's six model range features hand-laminated fibreglass construction and is finished with a custom-designed seven-colour gelcoat.
Standard features on the 620e include wraparound velour upholstery, ski locker and storage area, built-in boarding platform, integrated vinyl dash, drink cooler and ski pole. Also offered as standard items are the windscreen and carpets.
The 620e also features full wraparound rear custom seating with a dual observer seat and each model is fitted with twin 70lt fuel tanks. A number of options are available including a fully fitted cover.
Powered by a 200hp fuel-injected Mercury outboard, the 620e reaches a top speed of around 120kmh, Salem's Robert Meredith told Trailer Boat.
So equipped, a SSB 620e boat, motor and trailer package is priced at $32,000. The Yarrawonga (Vic)-based manufacturer also offers the 620 in a jet-driven version.
Each Salem Ski Boat comes with a two-year limited warranty.
Other models in the range include the SSB580 series and the all-new 590 series, available in outboard, inboard and sterndrive versions.
