The show, on April 8 and 9, is billed as 'one of the biggest events on the sailing calendar at Victoria's largest marina'.
Such is the popularity of the event that naming rights sponsor, Club Marine, has signed on for another two years.
"We could not have an event of this calibre without their valuable support and commitment," show chair Kevin Wood said.
SYC aims to make the show better than last year.
Club member Jesse Martin, famous for his efforts in sailing single-handedly around the world, was present at last year's show signing copies of his latest book.
Beneteau showed off its new 7.5 keelboats, which the SYC Boating Academy has purchased six of for advanced training and corporate activities.
There were more than 100 marine exhibitors at last year's show.
The event is for serious sailing enthusiasts, those wanting to learn more about sailing, newcomers to the sport and an opportunity to step on board some of the world's most impressive boats.
Kicking off with the annual cocktail party, the Club Marine Sail Boat Show will also feature some of the entries for the 2007 Melbourne-Osaka Race. Displays will include nautical fashion shows, boat building competitions, dinghy regattas, and plenty to keep children occupied.
'Try Sailing' will be available for people of all ages.
The show will run from 10am to 5pm on both days, and more details will be announced closer to the date.
