The 2018 Rosehill Trailer Boat Show will be staged at Rosehill Gardens from this weeekend (April 7-8). A traditional end-of-season boat-clearance show, Rosehill Trailer Boat Show is popular with over-stocked and motivated boat dealers looking to clear some soon-to-be outdated model line-ups.
Buyers have a fair bit of bargaining power at this time of year and often the features of the new-model updates coming down the line are nothing more than cosmetic.
The Boating Industry Association (BIA) says the Rosehill Trailer Boat Show brings the best of trailerboating to Western Sydney, the home of so many recreational boaters, and has become a gathering of the top marine dealers in NSW.
With free entry, free parking, and the opportunity to view the latest in boats and general marine equipment, this rates as a “must visit” exhibition for boat owners and those aspiring to make their first purchase, enthuses the Association.
This year's boat show has 30-something exhibitors and over 250 boats. It’s also a great show for those who love fishing, as Australia's largest fishing demonstration tank returns. At 15-metres long, the glass tank holds 14,500 litres of water with live fish, presenting an educational and entertaining fishing experience throughout the show. Given the popularity of fishing with trailer boat owners, fishing rods and tackle are also featured at the show.
Along with the giant tank, the NSW Department of Primary Industries returns to the show, presenting all the latest information and guidelines on fishing in the state. NSW Roads and Maritime Services are also present to answer all your licensing queries, while the incredibly successful Old4New lifejacket program is onsite, where you can learn about the wear, care and servicing of your lifejacket.
The Rosehill Trailer Boat Show is the longest running boat show in the state, with plenty of nostalgia mixed in with the latest boat and fishing technology. Making a welcome return to Rosehill Gardens, especially with the free admission, free parking and a location accessible, to so many fishing enthusiasts.
But with its roots going back to the early 1960s, the Western Sydney boat show has had numerous names and locations over the years, including Silverwater Park, Parramatta Park and most recently, Sydney Olympic Park.
The most successful of them all, however, was the Rosehill Gardens boat shows from 2002 until 2013. Naturally, the move back to Rosehill on April 7 and 8 has been welcomed strongly by the BIA. More at Rosehill Trailer Boat Show.
