As early as January, 2005, the company said it launched its 41-foot flybridge yacht with IPS - an alternative to inboard shafts with forward facing props and steerable drive units - and this pioneering spirit had paid off.
Rodman said sales have grown considerably since the introduction of the Rodman 41 IPS. Today, the company said, it has five models with IPS delivering more than 150 boats to customers.
Rodman said it is Spain's largest shipbuilding group boasting the country's largest industrial plant, with an area of 105,000m², located in Vigo, and had recently opened a new plant in Valença do Minho in northern Portugal, substantially increasing current production to around 400 units per year.
"The Rodman 41 IPS has been one of the most important successes of Rodman Polyships," said Andres Cardenas, CEO of Rodman.
"In less than three years we have beaten one of our records, having produced the 100th unit, which makes it the most successful model of our entire yacht range," he said.
Rodman said it also offers a 38-foot flybridge with IPS and has now introduced the system for its renewed 'Fisher and Cruiser Series' brand within the sportsfishing segment.
The 1170 and the 1250 with IPS have only been on the market less than a year and already some 30 boats have been delivered, said Rodman.
The sportsfishers benefit from improved manoeuvring and larger cruising range, said the boatbuilder.
