Robalo, the outboard fishing boat range from Chaparral will be on show for the first time in Melbourne next week at Jeff’s shed.
Following the Australian debut at Sanctuary Cove Boat show, Chaparral Australia’s Scott O’Hare is excited about introducing Melbourne's fishos to his new range of serious offshore fishing boats.
Mr O’Hare said: "The boats themselves are renowned for their quality finish and tough construction, but the Hydro Lift hull design is what really sets them apart. Time and time again we take these boats out into seriously rough water and cannot believe how superb the ride is."
"Melbourne buyers will love all the standard fishing features, big fuel capacities and super economical hull design, but also the crossover range will appeal to the whole family," he said.
O'Hare said that the Robalo designers have also realised that today’s boating families often want more than just a fishing boat; they want to enjoy their investment more often with the flexibility to ski and cruise as well. The new crossover range offer universal cockpit layouts, built-in toilets and single or twin outboard transoms while still retaining all of the performance characteristics and serious fishability that Robalos are famous for.
Chaparral Australia will also have a big range of Chaparrals on display, including cruisers, wake boats, premium bowriders and entry level H20s. "This is arguably our best ever Melbourne Boat Show line up," says O’Hare. "This is our home-town show and we always enjoy putting our best foot forward; with the new Robalos, the latest Xtreme saltwater wake boat and big cruisers on display we have something for everyone.
"Over the past few years Chaparral and Robalo have undertaken an unprecedented R&D program resulting in 32 models across the range with all-new designs from the hull up," says O’Hare: "Being in such a strong financial position, with no debt and nearly 50 years of innovative and progressive industry leadership, Chaparral has well and truly come of age and now hold number one position in the US for 18 to 35ft sport boats," he added.
