Gold Coast luxury motor yacht maker Riviera has thanked more than 600 of its staff after snaring more than 30 orders in the wake of the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney boat shows.
Riviera said the “outstanding result” from the Australian shows came from new and experienced boaters from Australia and New Zealand, who bought models ranging from the Riviera 395 SUV to the Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht.
Riviera had the largest display of new yachts at both events, ranging in price for $1 million to $5 million. The boat show sales are worth “tens of millions” of dollars, the company said in a statement.
Riviera used the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show to launch its Platinum Edition enhancements for its three-model 4800 Series II, 5400 and 6000 Sport Yacht range and the 54 Enclosed Flybridge, while the Sydney International Boat Show was the staging ground for the reveal of the 545 SUV.
“I am constantly asked the secret of Riviera’s success and I believe it’s the culture of care we have in our team,” Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said.
“Whether a team member works in the lamination or timber departments, administration or design, they have a collective desire to perform at the highest level every day and work together to create something very special.”
He said the show success was a “true credit” to the hundreds of highly skilled workers who took pride in creating “beautiful boats”, and then supporting owners with “exceptional care and service”.
Riviera has already delivered more than 70 motor yachts so far this year.
