Rivera has flagged plans to show almost a dozen of its boats at the upcoming 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, with the all-new Riviera 645 SUV taking centre stage.
Sitting alongside the new SUV flagship – teased but not yet seen on the water – will be the Riviera 445 SUV, 505 SUV and 575 SUV, missing out on only the smallest of the single-level living space motor yacht range, the 395 SUV.
The Riviera 505 SUV was launched last year as part of the Gold Coast-based luxury motor yacht maker’s 40th-anniversary celebrations. That year also marked the debut of the heavily revised Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht, which will be on display alongside the 50 and flagship 72 Sports Motor Yacht models.
Also on display will be the Riviera 4800, 5400 and 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum Editions, and the blue-water heritage Riviera 57 Enclosed Flybridge.
“We’re proud to announce that Sanctuary Cove this year will be home to our largest display of Riviera motor yachts in Australia for 2021,” Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said.
“Our showcase will provide a unique opportunity to fully appreciate the superior quality, practicality and luxury across our full range of models all in one convenient location and for visitors to experience the advances in design, performance and interior finishes that have made Riviera today the finest yachts we have built.”
The 21.2-metre Riviera 645 SUV is designed as a motor yacht capable of long-range offshore cruising but with no compromise on comfort and luxury.
It will come in either three- or four-stateroom layouts, with three bathrooms, and a space that can be dedicated to either a utility room, a crew cabin or even extra accommodation.
The single-level living space includes an alfresco entertaining and dining deck, aft galley with island bench, a saloon door opening onto the sidedeck, and a foredeck that transforms into a separate entertainment hub.
The Riviera 645 SUV will come with either twin MAN V8 1300 inboard engines, or MAN V12 1550 engines. The larger of the two powerplants is expected to push the Riviera 645 SUV to a cruising speed of around 30 knots, with a wide-open throttle speed of around 34 knots.
The 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is scheduled for May 21-23. The vent will mark the show’s return after last year’s cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic – the first time in its 32-year history it did not take place.
A much smaller show, the 2020 Sanctuary Cove Boating Festival, was held last year in place of the larger event.
