A strengthening US dollar has Riviera in a buoyant mood ahead of the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show in Florida starting this week (12-16 February 2015).
Headlining the luxury marque’s $US10 million showcase are two new models: the stylish new Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht and the sporty and adventurous new 515 SUV crossover yacht.
Bjoth boats are being seen for the first time in Miami, the series flagship 6000 Sport Yacht and the new 515 SUV have received worldwide acclaim since their world premieres in Australia, translating into strong sales results.
Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said he was excited about showing the Australian product in Miami: "We are looking forward to featuring beautiful yachts from each of our luxurious Riviera model collections – SUV, Sport Yacht, Flybridge and Belize – at our prime position at the southern end of Collins Avenue in Miami,” he said.
"And while we are excited by the strong interest in our yachts even before the boat show, we are also very much looking forward to welcoming our growing loyal family of Riviera and Belize owners, some of whom are flying into Miami from around the world to see first-hand how we are continuing to deliver yachts that are not only built to last, but also built to allow owners to live the ultimate boating experience," Longhurst added.
On display in Miami from Riviera will be 445, new 515 and 565 models from the extremely popular SUV collection, the Sport Yacht flagship 6000 and a 5000 Sport Yacht, a 43 Open Flybridge, 50 Enclosed Flybridge and 53 Enclosed Flybridge, as well as a Belize 54 Daybridge.
Longhurst describes the 6000 Sport Yacht as ‘the ultimate entertainer’. "She is supremely comfortable with clever alfresco lifestyle concepts, ultra-modern technology and palatial appointments," he said.
"Proudly carrying Riviera’s legendary blue water sea-keeping bloodline, the 6000 features a sports-styled helm with the joystick manoeuvrability capabilities of IPS, a flexible four-stateroom accommodation layout with full-beam master, three bathrooms, contemporary and stylish hull windows and portholes, dual electric sliding sunroofs and fixed salon skylights … as well as a large, open cockpit with BBQ centre and undercover seating and dining areas," he said.
"That’s a lot of luxury for just over $US1.5 million."
The extremely popular 515 SUV, meantime, will also be seen publicly for the first time in Miami after joining Riviera’s impressive stable of crossover craft in 2014.
"The adventurous SUV collection – which also includes the sporty 445 and 565 models – is the perfect pairing of two designs, each with its own formidable pedigree," said Longhurst.
“The crossover SUV series combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the classic Riviera Flybridge collection, and the single-level, leisurely entertaining features of our luxurious Sport Yacht design,” he said.
"We have now sold almost 60 yachts with Riviera’s SUV badge and we are thoroughly excited with the way this collection is being embraced by boating aficionados worldwide."
