Riviera will showcase some of its latest designs at the Melbourne International Boat and Lifestyle Festival February 4-6.
Riviera’s Victorian dealer R Marine Jacksons will showcase six of the company’s most popular designs including the 5800 and 5000 Sport Yachts which have yet to be seen in Melbourne.
The Melbourne International Boat and Lifestyle Show is the largest outdoor lifestyle event in Victoria sprawling from Docklands’ NewQuay down to the festive piazza at Waterfront City. The event will entertain children and adults with a range of activities such as gourmet food, wine, fashion, sailing and canoeing, boat rides, live music and giveaways.
R Marine Jacksons dealer principal Stuart Jackson said Riviera had held a strong presence at the Melbourne International Boat and Lifestyle Festival for the past six years.
“This year we are pleased to showcase several models from Riviera’s successful Sport Yacht range, including the 3600, 4400, 5000 and 5800 Sport Yachts as well as from the flybridge range, the 47 Enclosed and 45 Open Flybridge,” he said.
Riviera Syndication will also make their Melbourne debut at the boat show with the launch of a new 5800 syndication.
“The beauty for Melbourne owners is if they own a share in the 5800 in Melbourne, we have an exchange program so they can exchange usage with the 5800 Sport Yachts in Sydney, the Gold Coast or Hamilton Island,” said Riviera Syndication managing director John Russell.
“We provide a total individual training program for each owner whether they choose to hire a skipper or skipper the boat themselves, every owner will be fully trained in the operation of the vessel and they have Riviera Syndication’s back-up support.
“The 5800 Sport Yacht is easily handled in close quarters by the joystick so manoeuvring in and out of the marina berth is a lot easier for everybody. We also included an extra cockpit mounted joystick to make manoeuvrability even easier.”
Riviera Syndication will launch sales of 10 shares in the Melbourne based 5800 Sport Yacht at the boat show with shares costing $245,000 each plus ongoing fees. There are only three shares remaining in the Hamilton Island 5800, which will be delivered in September this year. These shares will also be for sale at the boat show and cost $210,000 per share with 12 shares in this boat.
Owners of the Melbourne 5800 will have 33 days usage per year with popular time such as public holidays and weekends shared evenly between owners, while owners of the Hamilton Island 5800 will have four weeks usage per year and can be taken in a combination of the owners choice for instance one week four times per year, two weeks twice a year, three weeks and then one week or four weeks once a year.
The European-styled 5800 Sport Yacht features three Volvo Penta IPS 600 diesel engines delivering 1,305 horsepower. Taking luxury boating to a new level with its three or four cabin options including the lavish master stateroom makes the 5800 a home away from home. Fixed and opening portlights in the hull are a striking feature that together with opening portholes each side, adding natural light and ventilation into the master stateroom and the other guest cabins. Riviera has already sold 12 of these new 5800 Sport Yachts since they were released in 2009 while the smaller but equally successful 5000 Sport Yacht has recorded 19 sales since its release.
