Riviera’s state-of-the-art facility on the Gold Coast has hosted a private launch of its 5600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition ahead of its public debut in 2026.
The new sport yacht – hull No.1 – made a grand entrance amid spotlights and a fireworks spectacular, before docking at the Riviera Yacht Club.
The design philosophy of Riviera’s Sport Yacht Collection, which also includes the 4600, 6000 and 6800 models, embodies four fundamentals: timeless styling, luxurious single-level living, effortless performance and ease of operation.
The 5600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition continuers that tradition with appointments such as an all-season alfresco area on the aft deck, a spacious saloon with two lounge areas, and three staterooms including a full-beam master suite with a dedicated laundry.
There’s also a garage for the tender and equipment storage, and a full-height engine room with easy access to the twin Volvo Penta D11 IPS 950s rated at 725hp (533kW).

“Riviera’s 5600 Sport Yacht sets a new benchmark across every measure for a luxury motor yacht under 60 foot,” said Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst.
“New levels of space, comfort, liveability and luxury appointments. New levels of engineering excellence, blue-water capability and fuel-efficient performance.
“Drawing on Riviera’s leading-edge boat building skills and the knowledge gained over 45 years launching over 6200 handcrafted luxury motor yachts, the brief to our design team was to create the best mid 50-foot sports yacht.”

The boarding platform on the 5600 Sport Yacht is engineered as a hydraulic swim platform that can be lowered or raised, effectively creating a private beach – perfect for children, watercraft, or just a fantastic way to cool down on a hot summer’s day.
The U-shaped galley includes a three-element induction cooktop with removable potholders, a combination oven/microwave, solid surface waterfall benchtops, ample storage, pantry, rangehood and a dishwasher. There’s also a full-size refrigerator.
The saloon is designed to take full advantage of a cool breeze at anchor with extra-large sliding side windows and an impressive electric sunroof. And if the weather isn’t ideal, you can always rely on the comfort of reverse-cycle air-conditioning.

There are two joystick controls: one at the helm and one portside on the aft deck. Each joystick gives the skipper control over low-speed manoeuvring and docking. There is also the option of starboard or dual aft deck controls.
The 5600 features a high-resolution integrated camera system with live vision of the bow anchor, aft deck, engine room and swim platform, displayed through helm navigation screens.
Next up for the 5600 is being presented to the masses, which will begin with the Miami International Boat Show from February 11-15, 2026 before the focus returns Down Under at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show from May 21-24, 2026.
