Riviera celebrates with a raft-up record

What better way to head into the holiday season than with a world-record Riv' raft-up and big Festival plans

Riviera owners in Western Australia have rafted-up in record numbers during a fun-filled afternoon in Matilda Bay on the Swan River in Perth.

Hosted by the R Marine Perth, the raft up involved more than 200 people aboard 43 luxury Riviera cruisers as captured by the drone in the photos above.

Some Riviera owner, like Basil Lenzo who has a 5800 Sport Yacht, said it was his first time at a branded event but that he regretted not getting involved earlier.

Another passionate owner, Scott Menogue from a 47 Open Flybridge, enjoyed a front-row seat for the afternoon’s entertainment.

"The R Marine Perth team worked tirelessly and it was a great day of camaraderie and catching up with friends," he said.

Ben Hames, who owns the 5000 Sport Yacht, said his favourite part of the day was, well, the whole day...

"And the fact my mates could finally attend and see how great Riviera events are," he added.

R Marine Perth dealer principal Michael Pitman thanked WA Riviera owners for their support to set the new Riviera Raft Up Record.

"The team here is absolutely thrilled at the high level of participation and commitment from our valued owners. What a great way to finish the year."

MORE RECORD RAFT UPS
Riviera has a regular program of social and boating education events as well as cruising-in-company adventures to idyllic destinations right around Australia.

In 2016, On the US West Coast, the Riviera Family gathered for the largest Americas Riviera Rendezvous ever. In South Australia, Riviera owners gathered for the largest Port Lincoln Experience ever, and in Western Australia, the Riviera Family rafted up for the world record as outlined above.

"We are now helping more Australian Riviera owners than ever to enjoy the camaraderie of cruising in company, and more international owners to experience the exhilaration of cruising Australia’s East Coast as part of their yacht delivery program," said Mr Longhurst.

RIVIERA FESTIVAL
Meantime, registrations are now open for the 2017 Riviera Festival of Boating at the Gold Coast yard from March 17-19, 2017.

All Riv' owners are welcome to the festival of fun and learning that includes educational workshops from night navigation, towing and safety at sea through to fishing clinics, preventative maintenance and radio communications.

Riviera will also display nine luxurious Flybridge cruisers, Sport Yachts and SUVs of the sea, stage fully narrated factory tours of its state-of-the-art luxury motor yacht facility, along with two fun-filled Festival social events. Book your slot at FestivalofBoating.com.
