Riviera has announced the appointment of respected marine-industry identity Scott Dillon as the new dealer principal of R Marine Pittwater on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
As a boatbuilder, Riviera had its genesis at nearby Mona Vale when it started as Mariner Cruisers in the 1970s. After the business moved to the Gold Coast in the early 80s, Scott’s father Lee Dillon was running the dealership at Rushcutter's Bay on Sydney Harbour, where he sold hundreds of Riviera boats into the booming local market — many of which still wear his dealer stickers today.
Scott, the son of Lee, is therefore a great choice for the R Marine Pittwater business, being no stranger to boats or the customer care that lay the foundation for his father's success. In fact, it was Lee Dillon who helped bring some true production values to Riviera boats through his constant feedback to the factory.
RIVIERA SUPPORT
Riviera chief executive Wes Moxey is quick to acknowledge that the Dillon family has boating in its bloodlines and that Scott is very well known to Riviera and Belize owners on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore.
"Scott’s wealth of marine knowledge and Riviera experience will be warmly welcomed by our valued Riviera Family of luxury motor yacht enthusiasts," he said.
"Scott grew up on the water and around Riviera and he understands implicitly our ethos of excellence and integrity, and also our unwavering commitment to owner care. All of these key attributes are embedded deeply in his DNA."
R Marine, Australasia’s network of luxury motor yacht dealerships, trades off the fact it provides Riviera and Belize owners with at-call customer care and support seven days a week.
SCOTT DILLON AND R MARINE PITTWATER
R Marine Pittwater is located at the Quays Marina at Church Point and will provide owner support, assistance and create fun-filled social events and cruises for the growing number of Riviera and Belize owners who keep their boats in the Pittwater, Broken Bay and Central Coast regions.
While there are hundreds of Rivieras that call Pittwater home, the dealership will also support those owners cruising north or south along the NSW coast who may require specialist Riviera service or maintenance assistance.
Through his passion for boating, Scott has remained in close contact with many Riviera owners since the family-owned and operated LDM Riviera was sold in 2013.
"Riviera is admired on the world stage for the loyalty of its family of owners and many are moored in close proximity to our dealership as they just love exploring the sheltered cruising grounds of Broken Bay, the Hawkesbury and Pittwater, and the ability to easily cruise south to Sydney Harbour of north to Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Port Stephens," he said.
"It really is exciting to again be able to work closely with the entire Riviera Family not only in the areas of service and sales, but also in planning the cruising and social events that make owning a Riviera or Belize such a unique and special experience."
Awarded the 2015 and 2016 Marine Exporter of the Year in Australia, Riviera celebrates 37 years in 2017 and the launching of more than 5200 luxurious motor yachts that cruise global waterways today.
