Riviera 545 SUV locks in 2019 Sydney International Boat Show world premiere

Riviera’s replacement for the 525 SUV readies for its August global reveal

The Riviera 545 SUV has booked next month’s 2019 Sydney International Boat Show as the venue for its global reveal.

The new grand tourer is equipped with a full-beam master suite offering what Riviera says is unparalleled space and comfort.

“A grand tourer in every shimmering sense, this yacht shares the brilliant bluewater hull, expansive open cockpit and accommodation plan of Riviera’s newly launched 54 Enclosed Flybridge in concert with a free-flowing, easy-living saloon that’s tailor-made for entertaining,” the Gold Coast-based motor yacht maker said.

Sized for couples, families

The Riviera 545 SUV will replace Riviera’s 525 SUV as a versatile yacht combining indoor and outdoor lifestyle features “at a size that’s just right for cruising couples and young families”.

Powering the Riviera 525 SUV will be either the Volvo Penta IPS 800 (625hp) and 950 (725hp), providing “class-leading performance and ease of handling”.

Platinum Edition debut

Sydney will also host the local premieres of Riviera’s three new Platinum Edition models introduced to the range at the recent 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Rolled out to the stylish 4800, 5400 and 6000 Sport Yacht models, the highly modified motor yachts feature a raft of enhancements designed to lift the appeal of the boats.

“Boating enthusiasts come from all over Australia, and many parts of the world, to witness our Sydney International Boat Show display and I believe they will be more impressed than ever this year,” Riviera Australia owner Rodney Longhurst said.

“The display will comprehensively showcase the constant optimisation of our model development, while also revealing our latest thinking and style.”

More details on the Riviera 545 SUV are expected to be released once the new motor yacht is revealed in Sydney.

The 2019 Sydney International Boat Show will be held at Darling Harbour from August 1 to 5.
