Riva, a Ferretti Group brand, has played an important role in a number of events that took place from June 29 to July 1. These events aimed at celebrating Riva's history and pointed out future development strategies, through the exclusive preview of the 63ft Virtus, the latest model of the Open range.
The events dedicated to Riva started with the presentation of the boat to the international sales network and to the customers of the brand. On Friday June 29, the guests of a gala dinner had the opportunity to admire, during an amazing world preview, the 63 Virtus at the St. Tropez dike, the same location of the sea trials of the following day.
Riva 63 closed the Aquarama Parade in Montecarlo on the June 30. This event symbolically represented the union between the past and the near future of the brand. The parade was organised by the Monaco Boat Service, the historic Riva dealer in the Principality of Monaco, with the objective of tracing the 50 years of the model that made Riva a world icon.
A press conference was held in the marvellous setting of the Monaco Yacht Club on July 2. On this occasion, the new model was officially presented and tested by journalists.
Ninety-year-old engineer Carlo Riva, was on hand to remember some of the more important stages of the Riva brand.
Paola Procopio, Riva Brand Manager, said: "It is always exciting following the 170 years that made Riva the most appreciated and celebrated brand all over the world.
"At the same time, it is also exciting to see the creation of a modern model, the 63’ Virtus, which is the result of the Riva artisanal tradition. The opportunity to celebrate it in such an important moment and place has been a great honour for all of us."
