The Riva Aquarama Lounge - Yacht Club de Monaco is an ambitious project that recently came to fruition in the Med’ mecca for all style and wealth.
The cool lounge is the result of an exclusive partnership between Ferretti Group and the Monaco yacht club. The idea was to create a contemporary space designed with the same elegance as the legendary Riva Aquarama day runabout.
Inaugurated on June 20, The Riva Lounge is, according to parent company the Ferretti Group, “the most precious piece of a mosaic that sees the Riva brand, an icon of the global nautical industry, expand into new spaces and territories.”
Among these new realms are that of interior design, where Riva has the “searching light”, an iconic table light presented at the last Milan Furniture Show.
The light was inspired by the Riva boats of the Sixties. Of course, the Italian designers are passionate about such things…
“Elegance is the noble, intrinsic form of beauty, that surpasses the fashions and tastes of the moment. Just like Riva, a timeless synonym of elegance and beauty in the sea,” Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, said.
“This lounge, designed by one of the biggest names in architecture, gives the new, fantastic venue of the most prestigious yacht club in the world an extra touch of exclusivity.
“So, I’m particularly proud to be able to inaugurate such an important space for the Ferretti Group, the YCM and the global nautical industry.
“This is a satisfaction that I want to share with the women and men, boat owners and talents that built the legendary Riva over the years, starting from its founder, the engineer Carlo Riva,” Galassi adds.
Looking at the cool nautically inspired space, we’d happily drink to that.
