RFD Launches Crewsaver PFDs in Australia
New, high-performance lifejackets now availableThe Crewsaver brand of jackets and PFDs is widely acknowledged as a leading brand in terms of style and performance. The Survitec Group (RFD Australia Pty Ltd) has recently been appointed the Australian distributor for Crewsaver.
Crewsaver claims that the Crewfit 190N is the ultimate recreational sports lifejacket, that not only provides performance but is also stylish, lightweight and robust. And being rated to 190 Newton it carries more buoyancy than the normal 150N rated PFDs in this category.
The company says that the Crewfit 290N has enhanced flotation capability for use in the most demanding environments when a wearer is loaded with foul-weather gear and equipment. Both the Crewfit 190N and Crewfit 290N exceed the requirements of the International Standard, ISO 12402.
The Crewfit PFDs are designed and manufactured in the UK.
The lifejactets feature 3-D tailoring and the fully-adjustable fine-tune waistbelt, means the fit of the jacket follows the body’s natural contours, which, combined with the integrated mesh-panelled, padded back provides ultimate comfort.
As well as the simple, quick, dual side adjusters, the jacket is held in place by quality stainless steel buckles -- on harness versions -- and dual, fully-adjustable, high-strength crutch straps come standard on all models.
Righting performance has been optimised to ensure anyone ending up face-down in the water is quickly turned up the right way. The curved, outer shaping and neck design also helps lift the head further from the water, and angle it correctly.
