German cruising yacht specialist Hanse has rounded out its range with the Hanse 360, the smallest model in its new series of Berret-Racoupeau-designed hulls.
The 11.3-metre length overall Hanse 360 features a typical deep freeboard design that is becoming a distinguishing feature of the brand, with a wide 3.99-metre beam and a plumb bow maximising the below-deck volume.
In a nod to the changing needs of boaters, the Hanse 360 will come with the choice of either traditional 29hp or 39hp diesel saildrives, or as a 25kW electric system with either an 18kWh or a 36kWh battery.
New to the bluewater-rated design is an easy-access area built into the cockpit and optimised for stowing a standard-sized liferaft.
The new Hanse 360 is built with a downwind sail area of 66 square metres, and 169 square metres downwind.
An optional bowsprit features an integrated anchor arm as well as a forward attachment point for a gennaker or crossover.
Another option that will be attractive to short-handed sailors, such as a couple cruising the Australian coastline, includes electric winches, complementing the self-tacking jib.
According to Hanse, the new Hanse 360’s optional performance rig features a square head mainsail with an extra 6.0 square metres compared with the standard mainsail.
“As a particularly environmentally friendly option, high-performance SPS Sustainable Performance Sails from Elvstrøm are available, made predominantly from recycled materials,” Hanse said.
The new Hanse 360 features up to 16 opening hatches and windows that allow airflow and light to fill the below-deck space, with the interior layout available in up to 12 different configurations including two or three double cabins.
The two-cabin version of the Hanse 360 features a large aft storage space. Another option available to owners is an ensuite bathroom attached to the owner’s cabin, making it a perfect boat for a couple.
The saloon features a dinette, available in two different designs, that seats up to eight people. An L-shaped galley can come with up to 190 litres of extra refrigeration to cater for extended stays aboard, while a navigation table again suits cruising couples.
The Hanse 360 is also available with a Flagship Package that adds leather-wrapped handrails, a higher grade of upholstery and extra reading lights, among other things.
Hanse has priced the new Hanse 360 from €185,900 ($A300,000) in its standard form.
