Revamp for Docklands Boat Show
Lifestyle joins the nautical setMelbourne's International Boat and Lifestyle Festival, to be held at the Docklands precinct in early February, has a new name and a new focus.
Not just a feast of large luxury boats, the Festival will bring a fresh mix of boats, boating gear, all the good things in life and live bands and an outdoor bar.
Running from February 5 to 7 all along the promenade from NewQuay to Waterfront City, the Festival will also offer sailing, kayaking and fishing clinics. There will also be free powerboat rides.
The promenade will feature trailerable boats, personal watercraft, chandlery and boating accessories, as well as food tasting and entertainment. The NewQuay Marina will be filled with big boats including the Dyna 770, at just a little under $4 million, and Seawind Catamarans new Seawind 1250, which has just finished its sea trials and is now ready for the market.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children under 16. Family passes for two adults and three children are $35. Opening hours are from 10am to 6pm, except on Friday when the show will be open until 8pm.
