Renegade 6.1m Warrior Runabout Cuddy
Hailing from Miranda (NSW), plate alloy boat specialist Renegade Boats boasts six models in its Warrior range of fishing vessels, measuring between 5.2m and 7.0mBuilt for the marque in Western Australia, all the boats in the Renegade range feature a distinctive stepped sheerline and are designed for offshore use. The basic Warrior platform is available in runabout (with or without a cuddy cabin) and centre console versions, custom built and optioned to owner's specifications.
In addition, the maker also produces a range of centre cab boats under the Chief moniker, Renegade's Darryl Kelly says.
The 6.1m Warrior Runabout Cuddy (pictured above) boasts a number of features that will appeal to boating and fishing families.
The cuddy offers below deck weather protection and casual accommodation on twin bunks. A drop floor allows for improved headroom and added storage. The conventional runabout version features a flatter floor, providing increased storage at a cost to accommodation.
The Warrior's design incorporates a self-draining cockpit and a 150lt underfloor fuel tank. Fitted standard on the Warrior range are aft boarding platforms, four welded rodholders, split bow rail, side rails and transom gate to the port side.
In the cockpit, two upholstered moulded pedestal seats face the helm, which is protected by a full width windscreen with anodised frame and internal grabrail.
Options available include canopy and clears, alloy hardtop, hydraulic steering, cockpit and underdeck carpet, and for the dedicated fisherman, livebait tanks, bait boards and a variety of flush-mounted tackle boxes. Larger fuel tanks and freshwater tanks are also available as options.
A range of aluminium extras, such as targa rocket launcher, underdeck kill tank, gunwale rod holders, twin outboard or sterndrive transoms are offered.
The basic 6.1m Warrior Runabout hull with standard features starts at $19,882.
Fitted with twin 75hp Honda four-stroke outboards with stainless props, the Renegade 6.1m Warrior Runabout Cuddy is priced from $42,200 with a Redco RE20T-MO trailer. Other turnkey packages are available, including those with 115hp and 130hp Hondas and single 115hp or 140hp Suzuki four-cylinder two-stroke outboards.
Redco or Tinka trailers are priced from $4,584 and are recommended by Renegade.
