A record 36,469 people visited the weekend’s National 4x4 and Outdoors Show and Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show at the RNA Showgrounds.
The family-friendly atmosphere, non-stop action demonstrations, expert presentations, exclusive deals and specials made for a value-packed event.
Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show Event Manager, Jason Plant, said the exemplary attendance figures reflected the growing interest in the great outdoors.
“It was the 10th anniversary for the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and it was rewarding to mark the milestone with such a successful result,” Plant said.
“We knew parking was going to be limited leading into the event so a free train loop service was provided for event visitors between Roma, Central and Fortitude Valley stations. This service ran every half -hour on Saturday and Sunday, with one service on Saturday carrying more than 700 passengers," he added.
Springwood Marine featured 17 trailerboats on display and owner Gary Brenchley said he was extremely happy with the sales his company achieved over the event.
“The numbers through the door were great,” said Brenchley. “There were plenty of people who came to the show to buy. We are very happy with the volume of sales achieved over the three days. Overall this event was really good for Springwood Marine.”
Presenting sponsor of the 2012 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show, Club Marine, was also very happy with the weekend’s results.
“It was great to be part of an event that continues to grow each year,” said Club Marine’s QLD State Manager, Brett Edmonds.
“For the first time at the Tinnie and Tackle Show we had Bart Beek cooking on the Club Marine Cooking Stage. The audience response to this was fantastic, it was standing room only at many of Bart’s presentations across the weekend," added Edmonds.
Planning is already underway for the 2013 National 4x4 & Outdoors Show and Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show with the dates to be announced in coming weeks.
