Quintrex reveals its all-new logo

The moniker that has defined Quintrex boats since the mid-1990s gets a makeover

Quintrex has a new look. Telwater, the brand’s Queensland-based maker, has officially revealed an all-new logo that will help to carry the brand forward for the next 75 years – and beyond.

The new logo aligns Quintrex’s branding more closely with others built on Telwater’s Gold Coast production line, including Stacer, Savage and Yellowfin Plate.

Stacer did not say how long the current logo had been used on its boats, although searching across Redbook shows it has been in use since at least the mid-1990s.

Quintrex's now-replaced logo

The rebranding comes a year after Quintrex celebrated its 75th anniversary in Australia, where it introduced its “Where Next” strategy that included rationalisation of its boats’ colour schemes, down from seven to just three, to help them stand out more on the water.

Of note, the new logo drops its graphic elements – the Australian flag and the trio of coloured bars – to become a much cleaner, simpler text-based badge.

Reflecting the heritage

Telwater said the new logo’s colour scheme maintained the essence of the old one, and was “still fondly reflecting the rich 75-year heritage as Australia’s most sought-after boat brand”.

The new logo still uses the familiar blue and red typeface, but is now divided between “QUIN” and “TREX” rather than splitting the “T” down the middle.

The “Q” also keeps an element of the old logo, incorporating a red tail in the corner where the multicoloured block once sat.

Model makeovers

Quintrex’s Where Next campaign coincided with a significant makeover of the Cruiseabout range in July last year.

The biggest change was introducing a new transom to the Cruiseabout range that positioned the duckboard higher on the stern to help it glide over the water.

The Quintrex Cruiseabout also added a redesigned dashboard for a more seamless finish and to fit larger electronics, an upgraded aluminium deck fascia design, a split bow rail and bowsprit, and two MaxiBracket mounts instead of one that was fitted as standard.

Quintrex also added tilt-adjust steering to all models and hydraulic-assist steering across a number of high-end models.
