Quintrex said the event plans to have the 670 Offshore SDD visit every major port on the East Coast between the two locations via the Pacific Ocean on a test of endurance and adventure.
State sales and marketing manager for NSW, Victoria and Tasmania, Des Hughes, said that throughout the journey a large number of events will take place.
"The Offshore will make 17 stops along its journey and an on-water day will be held in every port in conjunction with the local Quintrex dealer," said Hughes.
"The boat will be driven by a revolving crew of three and passed on in relay style from Quintrex dealer to Quintrex dealer down the coastline.
"We will showcase the toughness and seaworthiness of the Quintrex 670 Offshore along with the performance and economy of the Cummins MerCruiser sterndrive diesel.
"With the Millennium variable deadrise hull and flared bow, we believe we have a superb game fishing trailerable range in the Quintrex Offshore Series and want to give fishermen a chance to put it through its paces and see it in action," Hughes said.
Quintrex said to stay tuned in early 2008 for more information on special events and promotions run in conjunction with the 'Quintrex Offshore Relay'.
