Quintrex offers more for 2015

New range released with more room, more features for existing boats and a new Trident Hard Top released

Despite a soggy Gold Coast day, Quintrex recently launched a bunch of new boats to the media that certainly brighten the range with more features for no cost.

The media event marked the official launch of the 610 Trident Hard Top which completes the range that includes the 650 and the 690. We got a sneak preview of the boat and you can read a full review here.

NEW 610 TRIDENT HARD TOP
The 610 Trident Hard Top offers customers a slightly more versatile and affordable option while still incorporating all the features and layout design of the larger models.

Quintrex says the 610 Trident is built ready to fish with the standard model including a live bait tank, large cutting board with drink and rod holders, 160-litre underfloor fuel tank, berley bucket and a 135-litre plumbed kill tank.

The new boat is constructed from 5mm bottom sheets and an underfloor rib structure on Quintrex's Blade hull.

The all-weather hard top has a hardened windscreen with standard wiper and sliding side windows.

The 610 is rated to 200hp and measures around 6.2 metres with big cabin bunks and plenty of storage.

The boat can be heavily customised with a wide range of optional extras and a full boat, motor and trailer package starts at $76K.

TOUGHER TOP ENDERS
Also on show was a revamped 510 Top Ender with a stack of new fishing features for no increase in recommended retail price.

The new 510 Top Ender now features 4mm bottom sheets and 3mm side sheets which is an increase of 1mm all round over the boat it replaces.

According to Quintrex National Account Manager, Cameron Wood, this makes the Top Ender even stronger and more durable than ever and adds to its appeal in all markets. "The Top Ender is now tougher for less-than-ideal conditions," Wood told BoatPoint and Boatsales.

"The Top Ender has always been designed as a first-class fishing boat and it now offers even more with some of the most sought-after options now standard on every model," he said.

Wood added that the new Top Ender gives customers the features they had been asking for while keeping the price pretty much the same.

The 510 Top Ender comes standard with rod holders, a live bait tank in the transom, sounder, scupper drainage system and a rear ladder.

"We now also have new seat bases with lockable driving positions to make it more comfortable for driving – especially on long distances," Wood said.

The side console has been redesigned to fit larger electronics packages and full length side pockets with the option of a lockable rod holder on the port side.

There are also two underfloor storage bins standard in boats from the 490 up in both side-console and centre-console configurations. A larger anchor well has also been added.

We’ll bring you a full test on the 510 Top Ender soon.

REDESIGNED HORNET TROPHY
The popular Hornet Trophy range has also come in for a revamp with the forked-bow design which Quintrex calls the ‘Fighter Series’ now introduced throughout the range.

The new bow gives the boats a claimed 11 per cent increase in casting deck area, makes the boats more stable and provides a softer and drier ride.

There’s also a new side console, new carpet and new seat bases and pedestals.

The rod locker which is available on the Top Ender is also offered as an option on the F440, F450, F481 and F500 Hornet Trophys. Another new option on the Hornets is a bow-mount thruster plate.

BOWRIDER UPGRADE
The Quintrex bowriders have also come in for some attention with the forward section increased by moving the helm and passenger bulkheads slightly more aft.

According to Cameron Wood, this gives the 530 Cruiseabout and increase of 62 per cent in volume of the bow section, and the 570 Cruiseabout an increase of 47 per cent. The boats are rated to carry seven adults and people can now stretch out on the forward lounges.

There is also an upgrade to new ‘premium’ carpet and more storage on offer.

"The 530 Cruiseabout is rated to 130hp and comes with a three-year factory warranty," said Wood.
