Quintrex gets serious about fishing

At a press conference held on the Gold Coast yesterday (September 11), Quintrex announced some exciting new releases for those looking for a purpose-built fishing boat.

The Renegade range of inshore fishing boats has been extended to include the 420, 440, 460, 490 and 520 models. As ever, the model designation denotes the boat’s size in metres, but there is a variety of configurations including tiller steer, centre console and side console.

Quintrex says that it has gone back to quintessential fishing with the new range which has been developed to service the needs of no-fuss fishos looking for practical boating options.

But the boats do come with standard equipment designed specifically for the fishing market such as live-bait tanks, kill tanks, tackle storage, wide side pockets and rod holders.

At the press conference, National Account Manager Tony Kokolis said: "With such a wide range of boats and options on offer, there is something to suit every fisherman.”

Prices start from just $10,810 for a 420 Renegade TS (Tiller Steer) with 40hp Vortex engine and Quintrex trailer.

Also launched at the conference was the new range of Trident offshore boats.

Once again, these boats are designed specifically for the keen fisherman. Available in the range are the 610, 640 and 690 all of which are cuddy cabins.

The Trident range is designed to include all the fishing essentials as standard and also Quintrex will also be offering a list of options so the owner can personalise their craft.

Standard equipment includes a live bait tank, rocket launcher, 135-litre kill tank, rod holders, underfloor fuel tank and walk-through transom.

Quintrex’s Cameron Wood said that the Trident was a big step for Quintrex into the offshore fishing market. "The entire Trident range will fill a gap in the market and with so many included features such as the live bait tank and tackle tray, the're great value too."

The Trident range is available as a Quintrex Instant Boating Package with boat, Quintrex trailer and Evinrude engine from $51,325 for a 610 with 150hp E-Tec.
