Prestige launches six new 2018 models

A range of new Coupes and SportYachts from the 460 to 680

Jeanneau’s premium motoryacht range Prestige has been expanded, with six new models, each with lifted fit and finish including more timber and high-gloss options.

Due out in September, the new Prestige range was announced at a recent dealer launch even in early July on a cruise ship in Athens. Parent company Jeanneau was celebrating its 60th anniversary with 270 global dealers given the run down on the new Prestige products and strategy.

Prestige says it is affirming its position as an innovator in the very competitive luxury motor-yacht market, with a new Coupe concept and a new line of SportYachts with compact flying bridges. All told there are six new 2018 models.

In addition to the existing 420 entry-level model and the existing 550, which is now rebadged a 560, there’s a new 460 in Fly and Coupe, a 520 based on the existing 500, and a 630 and 680 SportYacht.

The new 460 is powered by Volvo’s IPS500s and optional IPS600s for 32 knots. There’s a two-cabin/two bathroom accommodation plan with separate aft crew quarters. The new Coupe version sand Flybridge with the Garroni design looks sharp.

The new Prestige 520, based on the best-selling 500, has fresh new interior design and a trick foredeck sunpad with shade top and lounge chairs, plus the hydraulic swim platform and tender garage. The three-cabin boat is powered by IPS600s for 26 knots. There is also a new Coupe variant.

The exciting news is the new 630 SportYacht with its small aft upper helm station facilitating a large sunroof over the saloon. With 725hp IPS950s, the boat is good for 30 knots. There are three cabins, including a full-beam stateroom, plus crew quarters.

The 680 SportYacht runs the 900hp IPS1200s for 30 knots. Accommodation spans three or four double cabins, an optional fourth bunk cabin, plus crew quarters. The flagship in the new SportYacht range is a CE Category B rated boat for 16 people.
