People are being sought to join a Recreational Fishing Grants Working Group which will advise the Victorian Government on how fishing licence fees should be allocated to projects that improve recreational fishing. More here.
The closed season for Australian bass is in place throughout Queensland from 1 June to 31 August 2009, but the Stocked Impoundment Permit scheme gives fishers the choice of 22 dams and waterways to continue fishing for bass during this time. More info from this link.

Melbourne Boat Show patrons can win a new Whittley Inflatable RIB package as part of $7,500 worth of great marine prizes over the five days of the Show.
