Bavaria Yachts new Cruiser 32 packs a big interior into a tidy exterior and the introductory price of only $170,700 promises to lure canny buyers.
With a LOA of just 10.01 metres, the Cruiser 32 doesn't initially seem like a big enough boat to take two couples cruising comfortably. But the designers -- Farr Yachts and BMW Designworks USA -- have packed in standing headroom of 1.84 metres and two separate double berth cabins.
The preliminary drawings show a large head to port and a small but compact galley to starboard. Under the cockpit to starboard is a huge double berth, while the forepeak holds another double V-berth.
The saloon has L-shaped seating to starboard around a dining table and to port there is a long settee berth with a navigation station at the aft end.
On deck there is a huge cockpit with two seats, each two metres long. The skipper gets wheel steering and a curved seat right across the stern. This stern seat folds out to form a boarding ladder or swim platform.
All the control lines are led back to the cockpit and the headsail is on a furler and all told, this yacht looks a stunner.
