It’s no secret that Australia’s biggest boatbuilder is turning 70 next year.
But while we are sworn to secrecy about just what’s in store for its 70th anniversary on the new-boat front (news of the ground-breaking rigs we drove last week slated for a Feb 1, 2015 publish on this site), Quintrex has already started celebrating with the launch of an exciting new competition.
You can win a $10,000 restoration package for your Quinnie tinnie just by sending in some photos of your original Quintrex rig. The new competition offers you the chance to pimp your classic Quinnie tinnie and turn it into a showroom beauty better than the day it was launched.
Of course, there are thousands of Quinnies still floating proudly on our waterways and cradled on their trailers today, so the competition will be pretty hot. Suffice to say, we look forward to the many photos as they flood into the Quintrex Family Albums.
Along with a photo of yourself on your boat, and the make and model of your Quinnie, you will need to share your favourite, fishing and/or family adventure and memory aboard your Quintrex boat on the competition entry form.
The entry that stirs the Quintrex crew the most will win. Head to the Family Album page www.quintrex.com.au/familyalbum and enter now. Old or new, big or small, all Quinnie tinnies and their owners are invited to send in their photos and share their experiences. Established in 1945 by Terry Quantrill, Quintrex now has a team of over 250 dedicated staff including expert welders, painters, carpenters, engine technicians and storemen.
Together the Quintrex workforce produces more than 12,000 boats a year across 300 models ranging in size from 2m to 7m, exporting to 15 countries through an extensive dealer network.
Seventieth birthdays don’t come around very often, let alone for a boatbuilder, so Quintrex is giving a bit back to the thousands or brand-loyal owners around Australia with this new $10K competition.
The most popular brand of boats searched at boatsales.com.au, we had almost 1000 Quintrex for sale at the time of writing!
