
Multihull Solutions will stage the WA premiere of the new MY 37 power catamaran by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts at the inaugural Perth International Boat Show at Elizabeth Quay from September 22-25.
The Fountaine Pajot importer anticipates strong interest in the new MY 37 as the entry-level power catamaran — there are also 44 and 55 footers in the range — teams performance and value for money in a market that's moving to cats. The boat is priced from $590k.
Lauded for its comfort, views and lighting, the MY 37 is said to deliver excellent offshore performance and stability in a boat that is economical to run.
The MY 37 can cover an impressive 1000nm at 7.5 knots using base 150hp Volvo Penta D3 engines and hit a top speeds of 20 knots with the upgraded 200hp models.
Available in a three and a four-cabin layouts, the MY 37 is designed to optimise entertaining and relaxation in a 13.5sq m cockpit with room for six and optional fridge, BBQ and hydraulic gangway.
The generous 12sq m flybridge offers the helm station panoramic views, while guests can relax and dine on this upper level with a table to seat six. Sun pads and biminis are optional.
The interior continues the 360-degree panoramic views through windows, with 2.1m headroom and ambient LED lighting. The saloon has the option of a second wheelhouse or sofa, while the galley features a 150L drawer fridge, double sink, three-burner hob stove and more.
The three-cabin Owner’s features a generous portside master suite and private bathroom, two spacious guest cabins with large shared bathroom, laundry and loads of storage. The four-cabin standard version has one expansive bathroom in each hull.
The catamaran features two 600lt fuel tanks, a 350lt water tank, optional generator and watermaker, 1000W windlass, washing machine in the Owner’s version, and a host of options including additional fridge or freezer.
Weighing 12.5t loaded, the wide hulls and high bridge deck clearance is said to deliver outstanding stability and exceptional performance in challenging conditions, making the MY 37 arguably the leading power catamaran of its size in the world market.
The MY37 will be displayed at the Perth International Boat Show at Elizabeth Quay from September 22 to 25.
