A new simplified US-made range of high-quality watermakers has arrived in Australia.
The Pacific Light watermakers are said to be designed for the boatowner wishing to avoid complex, expensive automated built-in systems — but without compromising on quality engineering, componentry or support.
Australian Marine Wholesale (AMW) has just been appointed the exclusive Australian distributor of the Pacific Light range, which also claims to be easy-to-use and delivers fresh water as good, if not better, than bottled water.
WATERMAKER LORE
AMW managing director Errol Cain, one of the brighter sparks in the marine-electronics' business, is behind the Pacific Light range. The watermakers are exclusive to Australia but produced in California, USA, by a talented team with over 80 years of desalination experience, he says.
"We do a great deal of research and testing before we stock a new brand or product and, in the case of Pacific Light, we considered the vast experience of the people behind the brand and their proven record of customer care," says Cain.
"The Pacific Light team has over 80 years of combined desalination experience and has been at the forefront of the rapidly-advancing reverse osmosis technology … they’ve seen and solved it all!" he adds.
FOUR DESAL MODELS
The Pacific Light range comprises four separate models that are capable of producing between 30 litres and 126 litres of fresh water an hour and features simple on/off controls, a marine-grade booster pump and a high-pressure safety switch. Optional features include a water carbon product filter, low-pressure switch and either manual or automatic freshwater flushing.
"The Pacific Light watermaker units are available in a framed configuration for easy installation or stand-alone components to provide maximum flexibility for owners," says Cain, adding that he's backing the new product with his signature service.
SERVICE AND SUPPORT
Cain has more than three decades of experience in the marine electronics and equipment industry working with many of the world’s leading manufacturers including Raymarine, Garmin, Iris Innovations, Icom, Simrad, Lumitec, Aqualuma, Fusion, Clarion and Mastervolt.
"Before we recommend a product to our customers, we listen and learn how they use their boats so we can ensure they get exactly what they need without paying too much for something they may never even fully use, or perhaps recommend a better or more suitable alternative," says Cain.
"Quite often people who have purchased elsewhere come to us to help sort out issues with their equipment or installation and it’s then that they see what really sets Australian Marine Wholesale apart," he adds.
