Kawasaki is set to overhaul its Jet Ski STX 160 range for 2026, but not before one last minor update in 2025.
The 2025 Jet Ski STX 160X gets a new front hatch cover design and fresh graphics, but the four-model 2026 range will get a total makeover.
New styling elements will bring the STX 160 series closer to the premium Ultra 160 and 310 models, while a bunch of new electronics and equipment will make these entry-level sit-down skis more comfortable and capable than ever.
The 160X model gets a 7-inch TFT, a reverse and braking system, electronic cruise control, and electric trim control. The LX, LX-S, and R models get all those features, but benefit from their own unique additions.
The LX-S has a review camera, accent lights, and an extended rear deck with multi-mount rails, while the up-spec LX adds a JETSOUND audio system, a premium seat, and a metre visor (aka windscreen).
Meanwhile, the sport-focused R model gets accent lights and a rearview camera, plus a moto-style handlebar, round handle grips, a handlebar pad, and a two-person seat.
Pricing and availability for both the new STX 160 models are yet to be announced.
Kawasaki also recently unveiled a new stand-up model with a fixed handlebar – the SX-X 160 – but there is no indication it will be available in Australia.
