Order books open for Boston Whaler 380 Realm

The newest model in the Realm centre console adventure boat family, the 11.9-metre Boston Whaler 380 Realm mixes fishing with pleasure, with an emphasis on pleasure.

Features include a cockpit galley with a grille and a fridge (with an optional livewell for those who rate fishing as important as entertaining), a large refrigerated under-seat coolbox, and a huge bow lounge area.

The centre console includes a port side walk-through (with windbreak) to the bow lounge, a big dashboard in front of the dual-seat helm to cater to the latest in triple touchscreen technology, a large hardtop and a new-design curved windscreen giving excellent forward visibility.

Options available in the US include a Seakeeper stabiliser system, and a bow sunshade, table and filler cushions to convert it into a sun bed.

Below decks, the Boston Whaler 380 Realm features an enclosed head with shower, a galley, an entertainment centre and a V-berth big enough to ensure a day trip can convert to an overnight one.

But the best feature is down the back, with space for up to 1600hp of quad outboard engine performance available.

The boat is sold in the US fitted with four 300hp Mercury Verado V8 AMS outboard engines with hydraulic steering. On official tests, the default engine layout is enough to push the boat to just shy of 50 knots at wide-open throttle – that’s 90km/h – or 35.5 knots for a 280nm range.

Rather than a swim deck, the Boston Whaler 380 Realm features a removable port side dive door with a stainless steel access ladder.
