OptiMax Pro XS gets new graphics

Now they look as fast as they are

Mercury has unveiled a new graphics package for its race-winning OptiMax Pro XS outboard engines. Available from 115-250hp, Mercury says that OptiMax Pro XS engines simply go faster.

With a higher wide-open-throttle operating range, OptiMax Pro XS engines allow more propeller options to maximise boat performance.

Exclusive dome-shaped pistons efficiently direct the fuel/air charge to the spark plug, producing excellent running quality, fuel economy and low emissions. And only OptiMax Pro XS engines feature the more durable and responsive carbon fibre reeds to control airflow into the engine crankcase.

"People who are serious about speed select OptiMax Pro XS engines and they are proud of it," said Nicholas Webb, Mercury’s Director of Outboard Product (Australia, New Zealand, Pacific).

"That’s why we’ve upgraded the graphics to an edgier, tournament-grade look which puts a higher emphasis on the Pro XS name.

"We’ve tested the new look with Pro XS owners and they love it," Mr Webb added.

The new graphics will be available soon.
