Old Dog Gets Tricked Up

After years of fast races in competitive super maxis, Sean Langman will skipper what will likely be the smallest and oldest yacht on the starting line of this year's Sydney to Hobart yacht race

The 74-year-old, 28ft gaff-rigged Maluka is currently undertaking a major rebuild, with all structural components, except the Huon Pine timber planking, to be replaced. Langman has chosen Nannidiesel as his engine of choice for the restored yacht.

“I have used Nannidiesel engines for the past 15 years without complaint,” he said. “I know we may come up against a few challenges in the race to Hobart, but at least I know the engine won’t let us down if we need it.”

Nannidiesel offers a full range of marine engines for fast cruising craft, fishing boats, sailing yachts, and inland waterway charter boats.
