Ocean Alexander has announced the planned debut for the new Ocean Alexander 100 Motoryacht at the 2014 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The company says that the new 100, designed by Evan K. Marshall, is a natural next step from Ocean Alexander’s highly successful 90 motoryacht. The new OA 100 has been designed with chartering as a high priority. It incorporates a galley that is a stand-out in the industry for this sized vessel and provides the space required for a chef to prepare true gourmet meals.
The crew quarters have been greatly enlarged, as well as the addition of strategic storage space throughout the vessel. The OA 100 has formal dining for eight while maintaining an enormous saloon seating space. There’s a wet-bar in the saloon in addition to a day head on the main deck for convenience. Forward of the galley is a very large settee area for relaxed seating and casual dining.
The OA 100 continues with the full-beam master stateroom arrangement with his-and-her heads. The forward VIP includes an abundance of storage and hanging locker space. Between the VIP and master, are two additional guest staterooms with twin berths that convert to a queen. All staterooms are ensuite.
The vessel is available with an open bridge arrangement, which allows for the largest open deck area for entertaining and storage of watercrafts of any vessel in its class, we’re told.
The vessel is also available with an enclosed skylounge arrangement with a new layout by Evan Marshall that adds a true second saloon area, complete with wet-bar and day head.
"With the recent successful sales of three new Ocean Alexander 90 yachts in the first quarter of 2014, we feel very confident that this new model will be very well received," said Richard Allender, Director of US Operations. "Several clients have approached us for something new in this size due to limits in dock space, cruising needs, or a variety of other reasons. This new OA 100 will provide those customers with luxuries usually found on larger megayachts while allowing them to keep the yacht in more convenient locations."
Great Southern Marine, the exclusive dealer of Ocean Alexander yachts in Australia and New Zealand, will display an Ocean Alexander 72 at the upcoming 2014 Sydney International Boatshow.
The 72 is the smallest vessel in the Ocean Alexander line-up. Todd Holzapfel, Dealer Principal adds, “We had a strong response from Australian buyers who viewed the 72 at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show commenting on the spacious and relaxed saloon, huge full-beam master cabin with private entry, all within a compact and therefore easily managed 72 feet.
"In fact, a handful of larger yacht owners commented that when the time came for them to operate a boat without permanent crew, the 72 would be a perfect vessel," he added.
