Tripodi said that from May 7, 2007, a selected range of recreational boat licensing and registration services are now provided in all 130 RTA motor registries.
"This announcement is about making the registration process easier and more accessible for boaters," Tripodi said.
"One hundred new locations across NSW will provide maritime licensing and registration services, more than doubling the number of locations available now."
"This is on top of the 64 government access centres, 31 maritime operations centres and 28 motor registries already operating for boaters."
"This is a win for boaters. It’s part of the Iemma Government's commitment under the State Plan to provide customer-friendly services with increased customer satisfaction," said Tripodi.
He said all RTA motor registries now provide the following maritime transactions:
"Around 500,000 recreational boating transactions occur every year, on top of the 17 million driver and rider transactions," Tripodi said.
"Ensuring boaters can undertake a transaction at one of the many motor registries across the state is great news," he said.
